Nursery

Our Foundation Stage, rated as 'Outstanding' in the 2011 Inspection report, is for children from their third birthdays.

Opening Times, Fees and Admission Procedures

Nursery and Reception age pupils are accommodated in the School’s Foundation Stage Unit and it is here that we aim to provide a positive start to your child's school years. The Foundation Stage is structured to promote the Early Learning goals for children's learning from the age of 3 until the School year that you child becomes 5.

We are a validated provider of nursery education, making us eligible for grant funding for three- and four-year-olds.

Children may join the Foundation Stage Unit from the age of three, as long as there are spaces available. In the period between their third birthday and the start of their pre-school year a flexible programme and timetable can be arranged to suit individual needs.

The pre-school year runs from the September after your child's third birthday. The education programme in this year is based on attendance at five morning sessions each week. Optional sessions are of course also available each afternoon, when the activities will be slightly less formal than in the mornings.

The Unit is open from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm during the school term. After-school care is currently available from 3.45 pm until 5.45 pm. Breakfast Club is available between 7.45 am and 8.30 am. See the link at the left hand side of the page for details.
